Hymns Quotes & Writings From and For a Believers’ Heart…

Hello my friends,

This week I am sharing another hymn with you; How Deep the Father’s Love for Us by Stuart Townsend. The first time I heard this one I thought someone had dusted off an old gem, bringing it back to life for modern ears; however, I was mistaken! This one is pretty “young” in the world of hymns, as it was written 23 years ago instead of 230 years ago. It’s words are refreshing in this day of empty fluff. The focus is the love of God, and the sacrifice made for our salvation – despite our great unworthiness.  The words, which are both sound and beautiful, should resonate within the hearts of all true believers.

If you have never heard this hymn penned by Townsend you are in for a treat. If you have (and it wouldn’t surprise me if most of you have) then I pray you enjoy revisiting this worthy tune.

Until Next time!

Let’s Hear Some Chatter Out There!

Can you relate to the hymn shared today?

What do you think of hymns?

Do you have a favorite Hymn that we should know about?

What a wonderful hymn! It’s a shame more churches do not sing it. I don’t particulary care for “modern” church songs, but I do take exception when they paint a picture and tell a story as hymns so. I really love those.

    1. Hello Dee,

I must say that I agree with you! I find modern church songs leave a lot to be desired, and some are so empty you are left wondering what’s the point in even listening to them. Thanks for reading and commenting on the post. I am glad you enjoyed the hymn; it is a wonderful one 🙂
      God bless you!

Dear Sister in Christ : How deep the Fathers love for us; I have often wondered where I would be if not for the true and awesome love of my Father Jehovah. Where has this song been all my life? Just when you think God has no more poets!

    God bless you,
    Sister Rhonda
